Exercises In Comparison
This page will present questions wherein samples of two elements are noted has having equal a certain basic property such as mass or volume. You will then be asked to identify which of the two samples has the greater or lesser value in a different property. For example,
"Samples of Fe and Cr have equal volumes. Which sample has the greater mass?"
Using only your periodic table and reasoning, you should determine the correct answer and click on the circle in front of the appropriate element. You should avoid using a calculator. The questions will appear below the table, when you press the "New Question" button. Click on the appropriate circle shown below the table. Results and running totals appear in the main frame, below. Since there are only two possible choices, the answer is displayed immediately after your response and you only get a single attempt at any question.
